Hidden away at the end of a mile long private castle drive, Gardener’s Cottage is situated beyond the castle walled gardens, a beautifully renovated two bedroom cottage sleeping four. The original cottage dates back to 1874 and the high ceilings, sash windows and exposed floorboards have now been woven into a contemporary country aesthetic.

Downstairs there’s a cosy living area with an open fire and TV, as well as a modern farmhouse kitchen complete with range cooker. Upstairs you’ll find two double bedrooms with distinctive original features and bespoke curtains and headboards. The master double also has its own en-suite bathroom with bath and shower and bathrobes. The largest bedroom has a superking bed that can be split to twin beds.

Things to Do

In and Around the Monzie Estate

 

Gardener’s Cottage is located just a few miles from the town of Crieff, which has fantastic independent shops including boutique clothing and wonderful food and drink shops. You’ll also find a number of restaurants and coffee shops. We are also close to Glenturret Distillery, which has a fantastic cafe, Lalique restaurant and distillery tour.

Crieff is also home to the Highland games during the month of August. The area offers a great deal of outdoor activities.

Golf is available at several courses in the area including the Gleneagles Golf Courses. We are ideally suited for fishing holidays as there are several rivers in the area including the Tay and the Earn.
