Monzie Castle – Manager: Events and Operations
Part time, three days per week (with scope to grow once we are fully operational)
We are opening up our family estate, including the castle and Monzie Church, as event venues, and we are looking for a manager to help us shape and build this from scratch. We have some early ideas, such as whisky evenings in the billiard room and yoga in the drawing room, but we are very much looking to you to help develop the programme. Alongside events, you would help run the day to day operations of our office, which handles administration for our holiday cottages as well as some estate administration.
The Role
- Develop and run a programme of events across the castle (for example weddings, whisky evenings, music events, corporate dinners) and Monzie Church (for example services, concerts)
- Liaise with clients, instructors, caterers, and suppliers
- Manage bookings, diaries, and event budgets
- Support day to day office operations when required, including holiday cottage administration such as bookings, guest queries, and turnaround
- Assist with general estate administration
- Help with practical tasks around the castle and cottages when needed
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in events management
- Comfortable with office administration and happy to juggle events alongside day to day operations
- Full of ideas and comfortable to help shape a new programme from the ground up
- Organised, practical, flexible and a good communicator
- Handy and practical, happy to turn a hand to jobs beyond events and admin when needed
- There are several facets to the estate and we are looking for an adaptable teamplayer able to work alongside our existing diverse and talented team
Hours and Salary
Three days per week to start, with scope to grow as the events programme and operations develop. Salary to be discussed depending on experience.
