Gardener's cottage is located at the end of Monzie Castle Gardens. Two miles down a private road, you will certainly be away from the crowds but only four miles from the market town of Crieff. Guest can request a tour of the castle if they are interested. The cottage was listed in The Times 'Top 50 Cottages in the UK' in 2016.
The cottage has been lovingly renovated by the team who have worked hard to restore the cottage's features. Monzie Joinery have built or restored the majority of the furniture including the gorgeous boot room bench and boot rack.
Living room - with two large two seater sofas and a cosy armchair, there is more than enough seating for everyone. Fully equipped with TV and DVD player including DVD library. We have all the best games (including Scrabble, Monopoly and Risk) as well as a collection of books and puzzles to hopefully suit all tastes! An open fire with a basket of logs will keep you warm!
Kitchen - the large kitchen has been kitted out with everything that we can think of. There is a range cooker with two ovens and a grill as well as five hobbs and a warming plate! We've also included a steamer, blender and mixer. You'll find all the tools for cooking a feast and a dishwasher to help you clear it all up afterwards.
Ensuite Blue Room - double room with king size bed. We provide fluffy bathrobes and high quality towels and bed linen. Wake up to birdsong. The windows look out on the hills around.
Superking Room - this bed can be transformed to twin beds. We provide fluffy bathrobes and high quality towels and bed linen. The shower room is halfway down the stairs. The room is large with table and chairs and large wardrobe.
Utility room - plenty of hooks for all your coats and a boot rack for all your hiking shoes and wellies. Sit down and take them off comfortably! The room is also houses the washing machine and separate dryer as well as a sink, stand alone freezer and microwave.
Garden - we have worked hard to bring the garden back to a sliver of its former glory! Sit outside on a garden bench or BBQ and eat on the picnic bench at the side of the property.
Prices start from £175 per night off peak and £220 during peak times and weekends for a minimum of two nights.
Brae Cottage is located just a few miles from the town of Crieff. Here you’ll find a number of restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping. Crieff is also home to the Highland games during the month of August. The area offers a great deal of outdoor activities.
Golf is available at several courses in the area including the Gleneagles Golf Courses. We are ideally suited for fishing holidays as there are several rivers in the area including the Tay and the Earn.
If you would prefer to have breakfast provided we have recently renovated Mill House to the highest standard as a bed and breakfast and it features ensuite rooms with the most comfortable beds, lovely views and amazing showers to come back to after a busy day exploring the local environs.
