19th century two-bedroom lodge guarding the striking Monzie castle

 4 guests | 2 bedrooms | 2 bathrooms

Enjoy a uniquely historic break in the turreted 19th century two-bedroom lodge guarding the striking Monzie castle.

  • Historic accommodation in turreted lodge built in 1790
  • Original features include spiral stairs and Edwardian slipper bath
  • Drinking water sourced from local spring
  • Secluded cottage garden lies beyond the gatehouse arch
  • Surrounded by 4,000 acres of wild, rugged Scottish scenery

When entering this striking gothic feature through the arched stone entrance you’ll quickly notice a wealth of historic features including octagonal rooms, latticed windows, a spiral stone staircase and an Edwardian slipper bath originally from Monzie Castle.

The living room combines handpicked antiques with modern comforts (think cosy armchairs sat beside a roaring open fire). Leading from the chic country kitchen is the dining room with views over the rugged Perthshire hills. Climb either of the two staircases to reach the comfortable master double and twin/double room.

Beyond the gatehouse arch you’ll find a small cottage garden, where you can relax and spot the local wildlife or pull on your hiking boots and explore the wider Monzie estate.
