The first holiday after Christmas is always worth celebrating.   Glowry Cottage  is perfect for a relaxing family break, with home from home comforts combined with beautiful countryside and breathtaking views.  We know all too well that staying self catering means you have the freedom to make it your own with no interruptions.  These little touches help to create wonderful family memories.

There is a variety of things to see and do in Crieff and around Perthshire during the Half Term holiday..

Treat the family and keep the kids occupied at Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre, Comrie.  Set in the beautiful hills of Perthshire, you’ll find plenty to see and do.  It promises a fun day out for the whole family.

You can decorate your own colourful ceramics at The Ceramic Experience, Bennybeg  Here, there is also a short circular walk which is ideal for the kids on their bikes or scooters, and don’t forget bread for the ducks! If you’re feeling really adventurous, bring along your rock climbing gear and try out the rocks at Bennybeg.

Explore stunning snowdrop filled gardens during the Scottish Snowdrop Festival, 31 January – 15 March.  We recommend you take a gentle stroll through The Birks of Aberfeldy – gorgeous woodland covered in a carpet of white snowdrops .

Another  event to  keep the kids occupied is the Science Fun Factory  a free family fun day at Strathearn Community Campus on Saturday February 28 where the entire family can have fun with  lots of hands-on science things.  Look out of for a couple of cafes on Crieff High Street which are taking part in the Science Festival – they’re providing games and puzzles for the family while you sit back and enjoy a light refreshment.
